Candle once were a necessity to daily life and knowing how to make long burning, safe candles was a well. These days the craft is more about ambiance than necessity, but if you're anything like me, still a wonderful party of your day to day.
Our response sheets had a huge interest in candles, so I figured that's where we should start. I'm going to start gathering supplies this week so I'm all prepared, but with that I will need everyone's help. I'm going to try to do this first one without a class fee it anything and see if we can pull it off.
Items I will be gathering include:
Wide mouth jars or old candle jars ( not too big 😉)
Various waxes ( ie soy, paraffin, beeswax, etc)
Wicks - preferably with the tab bottoms
Essential oils for scents
Stearic acid, vybar, and microcrystalline 180
Some cute labels to write our scents on them
If anyone thinks if anything else is had any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
I'm playing it by ear, but it will most likely be postponed. I'll update everyone in a day or so
Wanted to double check and see if this event is still on or had been postponed due to all the closures lately
I have a few salsa jars (maybe 2-3). I also have some essential oils from diffusers that I can bring to share, but I would like to go home with them too.
No I think no lids is fine for this. Thank you so much I really appreciate it
I can bring 5 wide mouthed salsa jars that I'll get labels off of. Do they need to have lids?
